DESCRIPTION & HISTORY
During our first encounter, we estimated that this manta was roughly 2.7 metres in width, from wing-tip to wing-tip. Due to the fleeting nature of this encounter, we're unsure whether to class this female as a sub-adult, or a sexually mature adult.
We're not sure how long her tail is. She has quite a sizable injury along the trailing edge of her left pectoral fin, likely caused by a fishing line.
